“The Glass Passenger” - Jack’s Mannequin
This album will probably surpass Something Corporate’s “North” as my absolute favorite project that Andrew McMahon has ever been a part of. It takes a few listens to get used to, but the beautiful marriage of Something Corporate and Jack’s Mannequin, with an even cleaner feel, is something to be in awe of. Andrew constantly amazes me with how every single album he’s involved with sounds completely different, and this one certainly doesn’t disappoint. He takes the newer feel of “Everything In Transit” and combines them with the emotional lyrics from “North” and just blows me away. His songwriting is taken to a whole new level, and the production on this album is amazing. Finally, an anticipated album of 2008 that goes above and beyond being worth listening to to something even bigger and better.
